The smart fortwo cdi demonstrates just how economical and environmentally friendly a car can be (combined fuel consumption in l/100 km [1] 3.3, combined CO2 emissions in g/km [1] 86). However, because people have different demands on a car for the city we are also working on various alternative drive concepts.

smart calls this "smart intelligent drive" and combines solutions for different needs with these technologies. For example, micro hybrid drive technology with a start/stop generator enables petrol to be saved every time the car stops. Or you can completely renounce petrol and opt for the smart fortwo electric drive as a new, cutting-edge form of mobility.
